Seven perfumes composed in Grasse, each one built around a single colour you can smell. This is N°07, Écarlate: bergamot, May rose and amber.

Two and a half kilos of hand-polished glass, a cap turned from a single block of Verde Alpi marble, and an atomiser tuned to a mist of seven hundredths of a millilitre.

Bergamot,pressed cold.
Calabrian bergamot, pressed from the peel in December. The first thing you smell and the first to leave: bright, green, faintly bitter.

A rose thatopens slowly.
Rosa centifolia from our own fields at Pégomas, picked by hand before ten in the morning in May, while the dew still holds the scent in.

Labdanum resin from Andalusia, Atlas cedar and a thread of birch smoke. What stays on your skin, and on your scarf, the next morning.

06 · Maceration
Eight weeksin the dark.
Each batch rests eight weeks in steel before it is chilled to −4 °C, filtered through paper, and poured by hand. Every bottle is numbered.
05 · The formula
Built likea pyramid.
Every perfume is three perfumes, released one after another as the lighter molecules leave first. Scroll the clock to smell it change.

Our year follows the flowers. Most of what goes into an Osmé perfume is picked within forty kilometres of the house.
